About Darrick Ramos

In 2020, Darrick was drawn to real estate as it offered the opportunity to work closer to home in the High Desert. He also saw the videographer role, which encompassed writing, shooting, and editing videos, as an opportunity to challenge himself and advance his career by taking on complete production responsibilities instead of just focusing on post-production. In 2024, Darrick moved from Victorville to Santa Cruz to be closer to his girlfriend, now wife.

Darrick's experience and education make him a vital asset to the marketing team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Electronic Arts from California State University Long Beach, specializing in documentary filmmaking and editing. This education has dramatically impacted his real estate career, providing him with the expertise to handle every stage of video production, from pre-production to post-production. Combined with his first job as an assistant video editor after college, his background has enabled him to weave storytelling into the videos he creates for ROOM Real Estate. What drives him to build and sustain a successful career in real estate is the opportunity to collaborate with real estate agents and their clients, creating videos that support the growth and success of their businesses.

Darrick enjoys producing music, cooking, collecting vinyl records, watching baseball, and drawing outside of work. He has a passion for animation and comic book illustration and would pursue them even if they weren't a paid career. Darrick now resides in Watsonville with his wife, Leslie.
